FAQ
We get all kinds of questions in our travels, but we spend a lot of time answering the same ones. So here are some of the questions we get the most.
Q: Do you really bust ghosts?
A: We really are paranormal investigators. “Busting” or “catching” ghosts are somewhat inaccurate terms. We scientifically establish paranormal activity.
Q: Are you messing with me? You’re actual paranormal investigators?!
A: No and yes, in that order.
Q: Just like Ghost Hunters/Ghost Hunters International/Ghost Adventures/Paranormal State?
A: Not exactly. Those are television shows that are sensationalized for ratings. There’s a lot of things that are created for ratings. So they aren’t as real as the networks would have you believe. Paranormal investigations in real life are a little…less exciting…than what you see on TV. We relate it to the TV show COPS. On COPS you get to see the most exciting 30 minutes of several 9 hour shifts. Same thing with paranormal investigation shows, you get to see the most exciting 60 minutes pasted together from a week-long investigation.
Q: Where is Slimer/Winston/Egon?
A: He’s back at the firehouse.
Q: What do your packs shoot?
A: Positively charged ions.
Q: Can you shoot something?
A: No. Aside from the fact that our packs are locked out and by discharging them we would incur a number of federal, state, county, and city fines, these packs are not toys. Did you not watch the movie?
Q: What are the Cheese Its for? Are they for catching ghosts?
A: No. They are for snacking. Watch the first movie, the scene where Dana Barrett visits the firehouse.
Q: Where is the Marshmallow man?
A: He got blown up. You should probably go back and watch the movie.
Q: Is that car real?
A: Yes.
Q: Is that the car from the movie?
A: Thank you for the compliment, but no. Our Ecto-1 is a recreation. The original Ecto-1 lives at Cinema Vehicle Services in North Hollywood, California.
Q: How did you get Ecto-1 here?
A: We drove it.
Q: You actually drive it?
A: Yes.
Q: Where did you get the car?
A: The car came out of a barn in Pennsylvania. We built the rest.
Q: You built all that?
A: Yes.
Q: Does all that equipment in the car work? What does it do?
A: Yes, all the equipment in the car works. Most of the equipment is sensor equipment for a wide array of paranormal related fields and bands. Ecto-1 is a big mobile sensor for paranormal activity. Sort of like a paranormal investigation mobile command center.
Q: What’s the gas mileage on Ecto?
A: About 8 or 9 miles in the city, around 15 to 18 on the highway.
Q: Can I drive Ecto-1?
A: No.
Q: Who ya gonna call?
A: No one. We’re already here. The better question is Who are you gonna call?!
